Andy Sherman was born in Holland on the 24th of june 1980. Being the son of the soul legend Tony Sherman (Sherman Brothers) Andy Sherman’s future was already outlined before he was born. Singing, songwriting, performing and producing are among the talents that would come naturally to him. He grew up in a family where making music was a lifestyle. Because of his father’s singing career, the family spent a few years on the Island of Curaçao (Dutch Caribbean).

After secondary school Andy moved back to Holland and continued his musical career. At the age of 19 he moved to Spain to perform with his father in the 5 star hotels .Every night he gave a Motown show with a four man formation. It is there where he developed his entertaining skills. Inspired by singers such as, Kim Burrell, Tonex, James Brown and Frank McComb, Andy created his own sound.

In 2002 Andy became the front singer of Artful Dodger, replacing Craig david. He toured all around the world giving shows in the biggest clubs & venue’s.

Throughout his career, he worked with big names in the UK garage industry such as MJ Cole Dubaholics, Vula Malinga (Bassment Jaxx), Agent X, Wide Boys. In the UK Garage scene he recorded several underground hits like "Decoy" (Agent X) and "NoNoNo" (Dubaholics) released on Public Demand/Warner Brothers.. It’s in the UK, touring with the Artful Dodger, where he acquired his MC-skills. In 2003 Andy was nominated as "Best newcomer" at the UK Garage awards. In 2005 Andy returned to Holland and decided to continue his musical journey . Collaborating with hot producers in the house scene like Fedde le Grand, Laidback Luke, Funkerman , Don Diablo, Sidney Samson, Roog , Sidney Samson, Gregor Salto, Skitzofrenix he becoming a rising star.

At the moment Andy is working all of Europe in the biggest clubs, he also performed in clubs like Ministry of Sound (London), Discorium (Istanbul), Starzz (Paramaribo) Escape, the Sand, Off Corso, Dirty Dutch and events like Mystery Land and Defected Events. Just to name a few.

Andy Sherman is not only a mc/vocalist. Together with Dj Moska and Richie Desgraciado he started producing house music under the name Mode De La Funk. (www.modedelafunk.com ) Combining solid grooves with smoothing vocals is their formula. Their first release will be at the end of 2007. Be aware of Mode de la funk and enjoy the funky sounds!
