In de loop der jaren heeft Your Republic door haar succesvolle evenementen een zeer goede status opgebouwd. Blader hier eens rond om te zien welke artiesten al eens op een Your Republic event hebben opgetreden.

DJ D-Rashid has been spinning for over ten years. He learnt his trade growing up in Amsterdam. Today, he is resident in clubs worldwide, playing venues in France, Turkey, Agadir Morocco and the Dutch Antilles. He is well and truly established on the Dutch circuit, playing at large-scale events such as Latin Village Festival, Ambassador (to over 18.000 people), Dance Valley, Lowlands, Mystery Land and all other major dance venues in Holland.

Production-wise Rashid has completed a couple of tracks with Madskills on the Alcuzar label, selling over 1500 copies in the process. Rashid has also turned in several remixes with Rishi Bass entitled Lafexa and Raw. The tracks were released in 2006 on G-REX, the label of Gregor Salto, with a fellow up called Raw. He also remixed Cape Verdian group 'Quatro +', with track entitled Cre Sabe and was one of the Latin buzz track of the summer 2006.

Latest News Summer 2007
Another year has passed for Salsa Lounge. For more than eight years, Rashid and his brother have hosted an event every last Sunday of the month in the Hotel Arena venue in Amsterdam. 27 May sees the closing party of the 2007 season of the ever-popular Latin-themed event, with Laidback Luke and D-Rashid on the decks.

There is another Salsa Lounge CD in the making too. The start of May will see the release of the Salsa Lounge presents D-Rashid album, supported by a media campaign on TV (TMF) and radio (Slam FM). The disc contains four exclusive tracks from Rashid himself including ‘Entintada’ (the follow-up to the smash ‘Cre Sabe’) and three collabrations with Rishi Bass, namely ‘Casera’ (a wicked Latin groove), ‘Warriors’ (a slamming house tracks with a dictinct melody) and ‘Striders’ (again a pumping house groove with a percussive drive.) Aside from the compilation, Rashid even has time to put out a 12 inch single on the Big Boss label called ‘Latinrockers 2’. In addition, watch out for singles such as ‘Reservas’, ‘Sick!’, ‘Vargas’, ‘Striders’ and even ‘Latinrockers 3’ in August.

Rashid brings us yet another compilation in June; the latest in the Latin Village CD series on Dutch label Digidance. The CD will be mixed D-Rashid & Gregor Salto, and will contain exclusive tracks from the duo. A Latin Village theme single by both Rashid & Gregor Salto, in a Brazilian style, will also hit the stores around the same time as the album.

Speaking of Latin Village, the festival is back! After a highly successful debut in 2005 and an even better show last year, its time for the third installation. The 2007 show is set to attract an incredible 15,000 visitors this year after exceeding 10,000 last year. Latin Village 3 will be held on July 1 2007. Headliners booked are Junior Sanchez (USA), LA33, Daniel Haaksman and D-Rashid himself. Latin Village could be Europe’s fastest growing festival…
